The perfect ‘everyday’ bread! The origins of this rich, long rise bread go back to the mid-19th century. Mrs. Brooks sold her bread to make ‘her own money’ to donate to the Abolitionist cause. Made with organic milk, organic butter, organic flour and organic yeast, these tender loaves toast well and are full of flavor. “CARE & FEEDING OF YOUR BREAD”: 1. Do not refrigerate. 2. After slicing, store remainder of loaf, cut side down, on a cutting board (with the bag or cotton towel over the loaf). ….Or…. 3. Slice your bread & freeze the slices in a freezer bag. Remove what you need, without thawing, & toast it. The bread steams on the inside and gets toasted on the outside. 4. If the loaf doesn’t get eaten or frozen after three days, make bread pudding or croutons. 5. Remember, there are no preservatives in any of our breads. ( approx 25 – 29 oz )
